The one time registration process begins when someone who has a document on GOOGLE.com invites you to review or collaborate on the document. The invitation will come to you in an email and you will click on the link in it.

Clicking on the link takes you to the GOOGLE.com login screen. Your userid is simple and easy to remember – it is the email address that the invitation was sent to.
